In TMP, there is another manuscript of this exercise in realization of a bass, signed at the end by Michele Puccini Jr. (old indication: D 23 c/d).

In Critica 1976, 1880 is assumed to be the year of origin of this exercise because the beginning of the full score of the Messa (6.A.1) is written on the first page of this double leaf in I-PSCmp. This means that Michele Puccini used music paper which had previously been used by his brother Giacomo. It is probable, however, that he did so only in connection with the other Corelli exercises which certainly date from his student years in Milan starting in 1884.
